WOMEN ARE FROM NORDSTROM'S

MEN ARE FROM HOME DEPOT

Have you ever not wondered about the differences between men and women?

One of the ways to distinguish the two sexes (besides the obvious) is to study their shopping venues and habits.

Now, we don't know if there is a Nordstrom's or a Home Depot where you are presently (that may change soon), but these two stores provide an excellent background to learn about the fundamental differences between men and women.

WOMEN are attracted to Nordstrom's because of the incredible abundance of stuff.

MEN are attracted to Home Depot because of the incredible abundance of stuff.

The difference is in the stuff. Nordstrom's has a lot of clothes and shoes. Home Depot has a lot of lumber and plumbing fixtures.

In a Nordstrom's a woman can contemplate how to make herself look better.

In a Home Depot a man can contemplate how to make his house look better.

In a Nordstrom's careful attention has been given to creating an esthetically pleasing atmosphere conducive to not waiting for the semi-annual sale to spend a lot of money. Women like to be surrounded by pretty things.

In a Home Depot careful attention has been given to creating an environment similar to most garages, only on a grand scale. Men like to be surrounded by junk.

In a Nordstrom's, soft piano music is played.

In a Home Depot the only sound is the intercom seeking a cashier.

In a Nordstrom's, the women are dressed fairly well. Women like to inhabit clean environments.

In a Home Depot the men look exactly like they just left a construction site (which they did), all covered in cement. Men are comfortable around dirt.

Occasionally one will see a man following a woman around in a Nordstrom's, looking bewildered.

More often, one will see women shopping in a Home Depot. Some women think like men. Fewer men think like women (or will admit it).
